This project has 3 parts. It will be graded on each part, all equaling 100%. I will give you Wednesday during class to work on this, but you must have created your scale for me to check by this time. This will be your only homework this week. Have fun!!
Part 1: You must write a 1-2 page report on a famous building, bridge or canal. Use the link on my website (Proportion 12/12) to come up with some ideas. Include the basic information, such as:
- when it was built
- where it is located
- how tall/long it is
- how much it cost to construct
- any other information that you find interesting
Part 2: You must calculate the rate at which it was built. We will go over the correct way to do this in class. You will choose the rate per day, per week or per month. Your final calculation will be a percent per day, week or month. You must turn in all your work for this section to get credit.

Part 3: You must create a scale drawing of your landmark. You must determine what the scale will be, such as ¼ in = 1 foot. Your scale should depend on how large your structure is in order to fit on an 8 ½ x 11 in. paper. I must also see your calculations for this part in order to get credit.
